METHODS OF PAYMENT FOR FINES AND COURT COSTS

MISDEMEANOR & FELONY

*****NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT OF FINE AND COURT COSTS*****

The Brazoria County Clerk’s Office will accept cash, money order, cashier’s check, MasterCard, VISA or Discover for paying fines and court costs on misdemeanor cases.

The Brazoria County District Clerk’s Office will accept cash, money order, cashier’s check, MasterCard, Discover or VISA for paying fines and court costs on felony cases.

Cash, Money Order, Cashiers Check on Misdemeanor and Felony
You will need to know your 4 to 6 digit case number when paying with cash.
You will need to place your 4 to 6 digit case number on your money order or cashiers check.

Credit Card Procedure for Misdemeanor
For credit card payments you will need to call Certified Payments at 1-866-549-1010 and follow the instructions. The bureau code is 4288333. For internet payments log onto their website at https://certifiedpayments.net/. Please have the following information available before you call:

  1. Your case number (4 to 6 digit number)
  2. Credit card number and expiration date
  3. Day time telephone number where you can be reached
  4. Your zip code

Make sure that you enter your case number correctly. We are not responsible for deposits made to case numbers that were incorrectly entered by you. You will be charged a convenience fee by Certified Payments that is 3% of the amount you pay. The payment will be credited to your account after 4pm that business day. Payments made after 4pm posted next business day.

For credit card payments you will need to call Certified Payments at 1-866-549-1010 and follow the instructions. The bureau code is 6399362. For internet payments log onto their website at https://certifiedpayments.net/. Please have the following information available before you call:

  1. Your case number (4 to 6 digit number)
  2. Credit card number and expiration date
  3. Day time telephone number where you can be reached
  4. Your zip code
